Arts Where You Are
The Folk Arts at Home program is designed for those who are unable to engage in community arts events and activities due to disabilities, health or other reasons.
Arts Where You Are programs are open to Northern NJ residents and take place in residents' homes, nursing homes, health care and rehabilitation facilities, and
on Zoom.
If you, your caregiver or a family member, don’t have an electronic device, ask about storytelling or music, which may be held over landline phones.
Participants may choose from a variety of folk and traditional arts brought by skilled performers and craftspeople. These include:
Chinese brush painting
Puerto Rican Bomba
Italian storytelling & drumming
West African drumming
Irish harp & flute
Philippine eggshell mosaic
Celtic designs
