Folk & Traditional Arts in Education

  • The Folk Arts in Education (FAIE) initiative is an ongoing partnership between regional folklife centers and local schools. In-class and virtual workshops are led by folk artists in music, dance, crafts, storytelling, and other art forms at no cost to the schools.

  • The Folk Arts at Home program connects folk artists and homebound individuals through free cultural presentations, presented either virtually or in participants’ homes.

General Audience Events

  • FCNNJ works diligently with folk artists to present multicultural programs that are authentic and representative of the region. Our free public events represent a wide variety of cultures and traditions, from Ukrainian Pysanky workshops to Puerto Rican Parrandas.
